Indivisible ADK/Saratoga Music Team Vision, Purpose, and Goals:
The Indivisible ADK/Saratoga Music Team is made of musicians and singers from the larger group.
Our goals are:
Provide music entertainment and song interaction with the larger group during large meetings and at rallies when appropriate.
Build a fun, respectable, and welcoming atmosphere for the team members.
Have a forum for the team to occasionally socialize outside the larger group. Campfire sing-along, pot luck-bring something to share, and the like……
We will accomplish these goals by:
Utilize practice time together to prepare new songs and chants. About 2–3 hours per month.
Host informal get-togethers at public establishments and at other locations as appropriate.
About Kevin & Some Thoughts on the Music Group
ABOUT KEVIN
I've been playing out professionally (not my primary income) since 1977, and still perform.
I play 6- and 12-string guitar and sing using wireless mics and guitars.
I also DJ and have a 90,000-song library and a 75,000 Karaoke library.
I've played in 5,4,3,2, and one-piece bands over the years.
I also play keyboards and some rare sax occasionally. (HS Tenor Sax).
I've created a Learn Guitar course that covers the fundamentals for new students to learn over four evenings in two weeks. I've taught it to elementary kids right up to grandparents in a mixed group setting.
Equipment I own: several PAs, 2 Bose L1s, 2 Bose S1 Pros with a powered sub, and a 16-channel powered Yamaha board with 4 Bose 801 speakers. Additionally, a portable Fender PA, several mics, and all necessary cables. (It makes for great backyard parties!)
Some Thoughts on the Music Group
Background music before and after meetings - Both Live and with a DJ playlist
Rally performances - Both Live and DJ playlist
Informal get-togethers to play as a stress reliever for the team members.
Practice for performances
